Yes / No Decision Wheel
For the questions that aren't about who goes next. Should we go outside? Extra five minutes of reading? Let the wheel decide.
Each option gets an equal chance, however many slices it takes up on the wheel.
About the Yes / No Decision Wheel
Type a question if you like, adjust the wheel options if you want something other than Yes and No, and press Spin the wheel. It lands on one option and shows the answer in a banner. It is handy for quick, low-stakes decisions.
Ways to use it in class
- Settle a friendly class choice like whether to have a brain break.
- Let students ask the wheel a fun question.
- Decide between two activities without anyone arguing.
- Add a bit of play to a decision-making or probability lesson.
A lesson idea
Use it as a probability starter. Ask students to predict how many Yes answers they will get in twenty spins, run the wheel, and compare. Then change the options to unequal ones and discuss how the results differ. It is a quick, hands-on way to introduce chance, prediction and fairness.
Good to know
This is for light-hearted choices. Please do not rely on it for decisions that really matter, like safety, grades or discipline. For decisions between more than two things, change the wheel options or try the Spinning Wheel.
Questions teachers ask
- Can I add Maybe?
- Yes. Edit the wheel options to add more answers.
- Is each side equally likely?
- Yes, unless you change the options.
