Countdown Timer
A classroom timer that feels like a game! Pick a skin: a ticking bomb, a hot potato with a secret fuse, a rocket launch, an hourglass, a balloon or a melting ice cube.
The fuse is secret: it pops at a random moment between half your time and the full time. Pass the potato with the big button or the space bar. Whoever holds it when it pops is out.
About the Countdown Timer
A free classroom countdown timer that is actually fun to watch. Set the time, pick a look and press start. Every skin shows how much time is left, so students always know how long they have, except Hot Potato, where the fuse is a secret!
Ways to play in class
- Run a timed activity or warm-up with the rocket or the hourglass.
- Play hot potato to pick who answers next while a question is passed around the room.

- Let the melting ice cube set the pace for calm, quiet work.
Good to know
Use Full screen for the projector. The sound button in the corner mutes the beeps and bangs. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere.

- Can I pause the timer?
- Yes. Press Pause, then Resume. Reset starts everything over.
